$900,000
Have already been devolved to the children of Haiti thanks to the continuation of the sales of the silver ring and pendant specially created for the campaign

Bulgari has chosen to renew its support for Save the Children throughout 2010.  Save the Children is the largest independent international organization for the defense and championing of children’s rights, present in over 100 countries around the world.

Nicola Bulgari, Vice Chairman of the Bulgari Group announced that Bulgari renewed its partnership and commitment to the organization during a Bulgari auction held at Christie’s in New York on December 8th 2009. The evening represented the grand finale of all the initiatives held throughout the year that celebrated the brand’s 125 years anniversary, including the culmination of the company’s major fund-raising project to support Save the Children. As a result of this initiative, Bulgari was able to raise in 2009 more than $9 million to support the Save the Children Campaign – $800,000 of which went to the children of Haiti.

In February 2009 Bulgari launched a special ring and pendant for the Campaign that quickly became the symbols par excellence of their commitment to Save the Children.  Both items are made in silver, paying tribute to the company’s founder Sotirio Bulgari, who started as a silversmith; Save the Children’s logo is engraved inside of each piece.  The items will continue to be sold throughout 2010 in all BVLGARI stores worldwide, select department stores, and on Bulgari’s e-commerce website (active in the USA) for $290 each, of which $60 will be donated to the Save the Children Campaign.

In 2010 an additional $100.000 were raised and devolved towards the Ben Stiller Campaign (Stillerstrong.org). Stiller is one of the Bulgari for Save the Children Campaign supporters since the inception in 2009. On April 11th 2010, Francesco Trapani, CEO of the Bulgari Group visited Haiti to see first hand the programs that Bulgari is supporting with the funds raised. Francesco Trapani joined Demi Moore, Susan Sarandon, Sean Penn, Gerard Butler, Olivia Wilde, Ben Stiller and film director Paul Haggis who were also visiting the devastated areas of Haiti to support and raise more funds.

Together with Ben Stiller he visited the Save the Children school in Cévérine, in the north of the country, where funds raised by Stiller and Bulgari together are being used to bring water and new classrooms to the village school.
