You've said goodbye to 2009, and are now thinking of some general goals you'd like to achieve for this year. To keep yourself on track - and make things fun and interesting - choose a main personal theme for your goals. When your goals are defined more clearly with a theme, you'll be more likely to achieve success at the end of the year.
For example, if you aim to eat healthier and start a new fitness program, your theme may be "Good Health: My Body’s Path to Rejuvenation". Perhaps you would like to fill your life with creative experiences, like art, music, or dance. Your theme could then be "Living in a State of Creative Inspiration". Regardless of your aspirations, try to give an interesting title to your theme; it will help you stay focused towards your goal!
Don't be worried if you cannot think of a theme right away. Take some time to relax and do something you enjoy, and before you know it, inspiration will hit and your theme will have found you. Make sure your theme is something that will inspire you and motivate you to strive towards making your life better in a particular way, every day. It should be something that will motivate you to act in ways that will take you closer to your goal with each passing day.
Also keep in mind that your theme needs to be realistic. If you're setting your sights too high, you're simply setting yourself up for a failed year, and no one wants that! Choose something that will instill positive feelings in you as you wake up each day.
So take some time to think about it, and good luck! Remember, if it doesn’t come to you right away, just sit back and relax - it will find you eventually. |
