Victoria Casal Couture Opens First Flagship Boutique in the Middle East
Victoria Casal Couture, formerly known as simply Victoria Couture, has just opened its first flagship boutique in the Middle East. Located in chic and upscale Wafi, which houses some of the finest international luxury brands, Victoria Casal Couture continues to cause Parisian fashion frenzy in Dubai following its introduction to the fashion capital of the region earlier this year.
The Dubai boutique is also the first in the world to feature the fashion house's new, redesigned look and the new "Victoria Casal Couture" logo. The new design was introduced to provide a unified identity to both of the designer's lines: the fashion line and the jewellery line.
The store is decorated in Victoria Casal's signature pink color, as well as her favorite adopted animal figure, Hello Kitty. The famous line "Hello Kitty by Victoria Casal Couture" is the designer's luxurious, high-end take on Sanrio's iconic cat image, which has proven over the last few years to be a unique approach towards Hello Kitty clothing designs.
The opening of the Wafi boutique coincides with the launch of the new Autumn/Winter 2009-2010 collection, which is already getting rave reviews by youngsters and adults alike. The collection portrays the joyful story of a Parisian fantasy, allowing Hello Kitty lovers so much flexibility and creativity in terms of designs and the various ways of combining them. In keeping with the celebration of the famous cat, the official grand opening of the store will take place in November, in time for Hello Kitty's 35th birthday.
In addition to being available in Wafi, Victoria Casal Couture's other locations in the UAE include Galeries Lafayette, Dubai Mall and Harvey Nichols, Mall of the Emirates (Kids line only). |

Jeans rule
Now that's a wardrobe staple you can't live without. The Jeans has become more like a classic item that can be dressed up or down and mixed and matched to create an endless option of outfits.
As a general rule, the darker the wash and the more tailored the cut, the dressier the jean. For day chic, pair with a tailored shirt/top, blazer, accessories, statement bag and fun heels, which can transform to evening glam by simply changing into a dressy top and clutch.
Faded, bleached, distressed, worn out and torn styles are simply casual. You can go creative by pairing with trendy heels and various tops, but it won't pass for an elegant dressy look.
Finding the right cut of the jeans is the first step in making sure you don't end up with 10 different styles sitting back home alone. Look for the best fit and experiment with some stretch to see what works for you. Look at the rise of the jean or the crotch area and make sure it sits and drapes well. If you're going for embellishments, make sure they are placed at your best part and not drawing attention to your flaws. |
